BIO:
SARA LANDEAU is a guitarist, drummer, composer, band coach, and music program coordinator in NYC. She is a regular contributing teacher and band coach to the Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls. She studied music part-time at The Juilliard School and The New School Jazz Department in NYC, and holds a B.A. from Columbia University in Art History. She has co-produced and worked with several bands, musicians, Grammy winners, and students who have had #1 hits in the U.S. and Europe.
Sara also teaches seminars “How to Read Music” and “Learn to Play Guitar” at the LEARNING ANNEX in NYC. Her course “Learn to Read Music in One Night” was written up in Village Voice Best of Education Issue.
Film work includes music for VHI Fashion shows and a role as the guitarist in the all female jazz big-band in the Julia Roberts movie “Mona Lisa Smiles”. She has also worked as a consultant for actors playing musicians in films.
After school programs include band coaching and program coordinator for the "Girls Rock Band” class at the high school Urban Assembly of Music & Art in Brooklyn, through the Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls. She also teaches middle school band classes.

BANDS:
Past and present bands she's played in include punk-surf 90's girl trio The Chickletts, lead guitar with dark-country singer Mark Sinnis, drums with Uncle Leon & the Alibi's, drums, guitars and other odd instrumentation with The Mercury Stars, lead guitar with garage band The Slips and several other post punk, rock, alt-country, rockabilly, and experimental projects from Los Angeles to NYC....
Currently playing guitar in her dream project, more news to come on that....:-)
