BIO:
Cynthia Pack has been a member of the New York City music and education community for almost two decades. She has performed as a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist in a diverse spectrum of venues ranging from the Juilliard School and Steinway Hall to legendary rock clubs C.B.G.B., Max’s Kansas City and Irving Plaza.  After attending Juilliard, Cynthia graduated with high honors from Hunter College with a degree in music and theater.   She believes strongly in bridging the gap between genres and developing a thorough knowledge and appreciation of music.


Piano Lessons will include:

  • Basic to advanced musicianship, theory and technique
  • Tools for improvisation through an exploration of chords and harmonic structures
  • Explore a range of styles including classical, blues, country, rock and roll, pop and boogie
  • Songwriting and accompaniment skills 
  • Strengthening vocals through exercise and proper breathing

Guitar Lessons will include:

  • Reading and fretboard theory
  • Solo playing and improvisation
  • Rhythm and lead styles
  • Strumming patterns
  • Open tunings and slide guitar
  • Standards, blues, pop, country, & rock n roll
Cynthia has been associated with Polecat Studios since 2004, but teaches primarily from her studio in Astoria in Queens.
